Chitrakoot Waterfall, India’s largest waterfall that rises from an altitude of 100 feet [100 m] and extends 150 feet [150 m] during the monsoon season, which is a small tribute to its outlying counterpart Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls jumps from a height of 176 meters and drops to 1.1 kms in both American Falls (323 meters) and Canadian Falls (792 meters) combined.
The Chitrakote falls in the state of Chattisgarh, are the most beautiful falls in the monsoon – June to Sept. As the river floods in the rains, these waterfalls located on the river Indravati get larger. The result is something which looks just like the Niagara Falls of Ontario, Canada.

Bhedaghat (Grand Canyon):
There are two or three impressive river canyons in India that closely resemble the Grand Canyon of the USA. Although the Andaman Islands have been transformed into a tourist attraction by busy locals, the Lakshadweep islands in India are still a long way off. It may be short of tourist attractions, but the landscape of the islands is just as beautiful. And why would you need guest hotels, where you can stay in local accommodations, and learn their way of life?
The Maldives, Lakshadweep and Chagos are the three island groups in the Indian Ocean that form the Chagos-Laccadive Plateau. This volcano is located just east of the Mid-Indian Ridge and just west of the Mid-Indian Basin. The Vema Fracture Zone is underwater southwest of Chagos. The archipelago is oriented north-south between 72 ° -74 ° E. Overall, the Maldives-Lakshadweep-Chagos Archipelago comprises coral reefs and the widest atoll community in the Indian Ocean and the largest atoll system on earth.
Cherry Blossom Shillong(Japan Cherry Blossom):
The coronavirus may have invaded the country but will never stop the environment from taking its course. Meghalaya’s capital, Shillong, is rich in beautiful pink cherry blossoms. Every year in the fall, Shillong wears a pink shade with the blossoms of these flowers, giving people another reason to go to the hill station.
Although the annual India International Cherry Blossom Festival, which usually takes place in November, has been canceled this year, visitors can still visit Meghalaya and experience the scenery.
The vibrant cherry blossoms have everyone on social media, many comparing Shillong’s beautiful landscape with those of Japan and France. “If you are blossoming cherry in Shillong why should you go to Japan. The North East is a place you can see. Beautiful mountains, lush forests, national parks, good food, warm & friendly people. Make it your next destination, ”wrote one Twitter user.
